SHAH ALAM, 23 June – MACC Selangor, together with the Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) of the Royal Military Police Corps (RMPC), Ministry of Defense (MINDEF) Kuala Lumpur organised a bilateral discussion session towards a collaboration in fighting corruption. 

The objective of this meeting was to set MACC as a benchmark for CIB RMPC in procedures of managing lockup, identity parade, interrogation techniques, use of video interviewing room, handling of case exhibit as well as improvements at CIB RMPC. 

Dato' Haji Alias Salim, Director of MACC Selangor, shared knowledge on MACC through a briefing on MACC's functions, main offences under the MACC Act 2009, investigation under the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities (AMLATFPUAA) 2001 as well as forfeiture of properties. 

Head of the CIB, Major Mohd Taufik Mohd Shaid stated his commitment to cooperate with MACC Selangor in channeling information on corruption, abuse of power and malpractice involving the military and related parties.
