ALOR SETAR, 3 Feb – MACC Kedah was invited by Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Taman Jelutong to launch the Ideal Personality Etiquette Module (SUMUR) as well as deliver a talk titled "Corruption Does Not Know Age", as the Malay proverb says, "melentur buluh biarlah dari rebungnya" (bend a bamboo while it is still a shoot, meaning to start cultivating good values at a young age).
In the spirit of this proverb, Chief SAC Mustafa Kamal Ahmad, Deputy Director (Operation) on behalf of MACC Kedah launched the SUMUR module and spoke about corruption to 760 students of SMK Taman Jeluting, Kulim, Kedah. This is in line with MACC's vision to educate school students as the main stronghold against corruption in the future, for the sake of the nation's harmony.
Furthermore, Chief SAC Mustafa Kamal was also given the honour to present the Appointment Certificate to students selected to be part of the Badar dan Nuqoba’ Committee.
This exemplary event is hoped to produce students with high integrity who will curb corruption in Kedah alongside MACC towards ensuring Malaysia is free from corruption.
