PUTRAJAYA, 8-9 september 2012 – Information and the awareness on anti-corruption was an important feature at the Journey to Wellness carnival held along the main road adjacent to the Palace of Justice building at Precinct 3.

The two-day carnival showcased the MACC exhibition which displayed information on corruption as well as awareness on anti-corruption and its efforts. The exhibition, coordinated by the exhibition unit of the Community Education Division of the MACC, also featured various interactive activities in encouraging the public to visit the booth. Approximately 250 visitors thronged to the MACC booth and participated in the public survey as well as in other activities. The MACC personnel were active in distributing information leaflets and anti-corruption promotion souvenirs such as pens, notebooks, button badges and Agent Lang (MACC mascot) balloons. Visitors were also given explanation on various questions posed to the MACC officers.

The exhibition which was organised by the Ministry of Health was a conducive and effective platform in the efforts in reaching out to the general public and in particular, the youth who are the future torchbearers of the nation, in spreading the awareness on anti-corruption. Furthermore, such outreach initiatives enables the MACC to get closer to the public and allows for better communication between the MACC and the public.
