Baling, April 30 - Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Tunku Putra today became a pioneer for the ‘Wira Anti Rasuah’ (WAR) campaign at a secondary school level, being the first secondary school in the country to join this campaign.

Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Kedah Deputy Director, Mohd Fauzi Mohamad said the collaboration between the teachers and school administrators in joining the WAR campaign is laudable.

He stated that SMK Tunku Putra is the first secondary school which volunteered to participate in a special day-long campaign to raise awareness on corruption among younger generation today.

“This WAR campaign was first launched last year but it did not involve secondary school. Therefore, SMK Tunku Putra today became the impetus of this campaign at the secondary level.”

“This will be evaluated so that the WAR campaign can be held at all schools in this country.”

"This is just the beginning. Although this campaign is short but it is hoped to bring awareness to all young people who participate in this campaign today," told him when launching the campaign.

More than 700 students and school staffs attended the day-long campaign which was supervised by the Education Branch, Community Education Division ‘Penmas’ in collaboration with the teachers and school administrators.
