Alai, June 2 – 9 members of Consultation and Corruption Prevention Panel (CCPP), headed by YBhg. Tan Sri Johan Bin Jaafar had made a courtesy call to Chief Minister of Melaka, Datuk Seri Ir. Idris Haron at Chief Minister Office in Seri Negeri Ayer Keroh, Melaka.
Also present were MACC Deputy Chief Commisioner (Prevention), Datuk Hj Mustafar Ali, Directors of Prevention Divisions; Dato’ Shamsun Baharin Bin Mohd Jamil, Dato’ Hj. Mohamad Yusoff Bin Akope, Dato’ Norazlan Bin Mohd Razali, Chief SAC Rohaizad Yaacob, Chief SAC Junipah Wandi and Director of MACC Melaka, SAC Ramli Bin Ismail.
In the meeting, Datuk Seri Ir. Idris Haron offered his utmost commitment in the efforts of eradicating total corruption to shape a culture of high-integrity in Melaka State Government and making Melaka as a model state, as well as being highly-regarded.
He also recommended MACC to establish Information Centre in Local Authorities Office (PBT) to facilitate the public in reporting complaints in regard to corruption.
Meanwhile, Tan Sri Johan who represented CCPP members regarded that the Melaka State Government’s willingness to receive a visit from CCPP has indicated that the state government is truly committed in combating crime across the board. He wants other states to emulate what was done by Melaka and such visit should be resumed to other states as an effort by MACC to fight against corruption.
The next CCPP monthly meeting would be held in MACC Melaka Office in the afternoon. The meeting would be discussing on MACC current issues. CCPP members were escorted to Video-Interviewing Room (VIR), Lockup, Operation Room (BGOS) and Identification Parade Room on top of being explained on facilities that are available in MACC Melaka.
