KAJANG, July 4 - Youth for Integrity (YFI), a youth movement which fights for integrity development among youngsters nowadays, had conducted a Talk Session with Minister of Youth and Sports, YB Khairy Jamaluddin in Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN).
The session entitled ‘Centrality of Integrity for The Next Generation’ lasted more than 2 hours, attended by 100 students and student representatives from several local Private Higher Learning Institutions, was jointly organized with Malaysia Airports Berhad, NKRA Corruption, Malaysian Institute of Integrity (IIM) and Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).
YB Khairy Jamaluddin in his speech acknowledged YFI efforts in mobilizing youth in the country towards a better life with integrity in the future by eradicating corruption.
He stated that anyone can be caught in corruption in spite of their background and to curb this menace, it requires high level of integrity value to be instilled in the generation today.
“In the corruption issue, it is not constrained to punitive measure but also considering cultivation of values to combat corruption, since prevention is better than cure.”
“If you, the today’s generation can be together to assist in the fight against corruption, this problem might be easier to be dealt with in the future,” he mentioned.
Also present in the ceremony were Minister in Prime Minister’s Department, Dato’ Paul Low Seng Kuan, Deputy Vice Chancellor of UNITEN, Prof Ir Dr Kamal Nasharudin Mustapha and Deputy Vice Chancellor (Student Affairs, Alumni & Management), Prof Dr Mohd Zamri Yusoff.
