Putrajaya, Aug 24 - 16 top management members from Huawei Technologies (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, led by Mr Abraham Liu Kang, Chief Executive Officer of Huawei Technologies had a visit to MACC Headquarters this afternoon.
Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. is a Chinese multinational company focusing on telecommunication network devices, based in Shenzhen, Guandong. This company is the world largest manufacturer in telecommunication devices, after taking over the first place from Ericson on 2012.
The main objective of the visit was to give insights and awareness in corruption, thus fortifying integrity of the officers in obliterating corruption crime in their organization.
The event began with a group photo session once the entourage had arrived at MACC lobby around 3pm. The participants were brought to lockup. A short briefing was delivered by CSASupt. Mohd Azizan Bin Mahat, Head of Lockup Branch.
A visit to Video Interviewing Room (VIR) was also conducted. A briefing on the usage of this room was provided by Tuan Shahfiz Bin Bunian from the Investigation Division. Later, the participants were escorted to Identification Parade Room and MACC Gallery.
A discussion session was held in the Main Meeting Room of Community Education Division. During the session, Huawei Chief Executive Officer, Abraham Liu invited MACC to Shenzhen, Guandong to get to know in details regarding services offered by the company as well as exchanging ideas related to work ethics and integrity.
Furthermore, he suggested MACC to carry out briefing session to the company's salespersons, due to their high frequency in dealing with customers, by stressing on the high integrity working culture.
Meanwhile, Director of Community Education Division, YBhg. Dato’ Shamshun Baharin Bin Mohd Jamil truly welcomed any kinds of collaboration with the organization in the future.
This visit was the first activity ran by the organization subsequent to the signing of Corporate Integrity Pledge (CIP) with MACC on the last Jan 28.
Also present were the Deputy Director of Community Education Division, Chief SAC Haji Abdul Samat Bin Kasah and Tuan Mohamad Zaki Bin Ibrahim. The ceremony concluded with the hand over of souvenirs to the guests and photo session as momento.
