Putrajaya, Sep 9 – Anti-Corruption Hero (WAR) Campaign which was introduced last year at Chinese-type Primary School (SJKC), had been extended to the other primary and secondary schools. This campaign was aimed to cultivate integrity values at such a young age.
Currently, WAR campaign was conducted at SMK Presint 14 (1), Putrajaya. Fifty form 6 students, along with 7 teachers attended the programme, held at 3pm at the school’s meeting room.
The programme was initiated by a welcoming speech by the Hon. Datin Noorhayati Binti Zakaria, Vice Principal of Student Affairs, representing the Principal. In her speech, she weelcomed MACC to the school and hoped via the campaign, the students would be exposed to the danger and consequence of corruption to the society and nation.
The programme resumed with a talk entitled ‘Corruption and Effects’, delivered by Assistant Commissioner Maznah Binti Che Muda, Head of Education Branch in Community Education Division.
In the talk, MACC’s roles and functions, as well as the offences under the MACC Act 2009 was clarified. A quiz was also held, in which the speaker was bombarded with various questions.
The ceremony ended with a photo session and hand over of souvenirs as momento to the participants.
