MACC Receives Consent To Prosecute Mohd Najib And Arul Kanda
The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has received consent from the Attorney-General's Chambers (AGC) to prosecute former Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Mohd. Najib Abdul Razak and former President and Chief Executive Officer of 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB), Arul Kanda Kandasamy in court tomorrow.
Both will be charged jointly regarding the case of amendments to the 1MDB Auditing Final Report.
However, the charge will be read at separate Sessions Courts at the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court Complex on December 12, 2018, at 8.00 am.
MACC had previously detained Mohd. Najib on Monday, December 10, 2018 to complete the final investigation process.
He was subsequently released on the same day.
Meanwhile, Arul Kanda was detained at 10.32am today at the MACC Headquarters in Putrajaya for the same purpose.
