LANGKAWI, 24 April – MACC in collaboration with Langkawi Development Authority (LADA) organised a corruption prevention and integrity enhancement program in conjunction with LADA Integrity Week 2019, targeted to LADA staff members, participants of LADA Integrity Week 2019 as well as tourists in Langkawi.
This is in line with the National Anti-Corruption Plan's strategic objective 6.2 to build the defense against the threat of corruption in corporate entities via awareness and anti-corruption engagement programs with statutory bodies, State-owned Entities, Companies Limited By Guarantee (CLBG) and the private sector.
Among the agenda of the program were a sharing session by Dep. Com. Dato’ Shaharom Nizam bin Abd Manap and an Integrity WalkAbout at Dataran Lang, Kilim Jetty and Oriental Village, which targets tourists for the 'Study on Tourist Perception towards Corruption'.
Also participating in the program were Dato’ Ir Amiruddin Hamzah, Deputy Minister of Finance; Mr. Hj Mohd Asri Redha Abdul Rahman, Deputy CEO of LADA and Dep. Com. Tuan Ruslan Tuan Mat, Director of MACC Community Education Division.
The program was a successful collaboration between MACC Kedah, MACC Langkawi Branch, MACC Perlis and the Anti-Corruption Force Alumni.
