MELAKA, 10 Apr – In a collaborative effort between the Melaka Institute of Management and Integrity (INSPIM) and MACC Melaka, a high-impact seminar was held today involving two respected figures, Datuk Dr. Anis Yusal Yusoff, Deputy Director-General (Policy & Strategic) of the Governance, Integrity and Anti-corruption Centre (GIACC) and Dep. Chief Com. Dato' Shamshun Baharin Mohd Jamil, Deputy Chief Commissioner (Prevention) of MACC.
130 participants from among top management officers in the public and private sectors attended the seminar where the National Anti-Corruption Plan (NACP) and MS ISO 37001:2016 (Anti Bribery Management System) were discussed.
This information could strengthen the internal control of an organisation voluntarily by detecting, preventing, managing, enforcing, assessing as well as improving effective anti-corruption measures.
Briefings on Section 17A of the MACC Act 2009 (Corporate Liability) as well as the establishment of Integrity and Governance Units (IGU) were also delivered to the participants so that they become instruments in combating corruption more efficiently.
