KUALA TERENGGANU, 20 August 2018 – The Terengganu Marine Park Department (JLTM) accepted six proposals by the Terengganu MACC Inspection and Consultancy Unit (UPMP) concerning the collection of fees in the Marine Parks.
Terengganu JLTM State Director Muhammad Nur Ashry Bassari agreed to all six recommendations and pledged his commitment to implement all the proposals.
The Consultation Session was led by Terengganu MACC Deputy Director PPj Zainal Ayob in the Kuala Terengganu JLTM Office on 8 August 2018.
Among the recommendations proposed are:
JLTM should elaborate clearly the work processes regarding the collection and management of fees in the Marine Parks based on the existing Fee Collection Guidelines.
JLTM should update the Work Procedure Manual (MPK) or ‘Fail Meja’ on fee collection processes in order for it to be complete and in-line with the existing Fee Collection Guidelines.
In the Fee Collection Guidelines, Point 1.6 Page 10 concerning the responsibilities of the Central Head/ District Office Head/ Supervising Officer should be revised whereby the Order granting permission to plan the best fee collection method for the Marine Parks by those individuals should be abolished.
- JLTM should compel Compliance by all JLTM work force towards the Fee Collection Guidelines.
