JOHOR BAHRU, 25 Jan – The Director of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Johor, YBhg. Dato’ Haji Azmi bin Haji Alias paid a courtesy visit to the Chief Minister of Johor this morning.
This courtesy visit aimed to strengthen relations between MACC and the Johor State Government, particularly the Johor Chief Minister’s office in the effort to eradicate corruption.
A one-hour discussion also took place, focusing on development and environmental issues in Johor, for instance flood, forest, the Islamic department as well as corruption prevention programmes involving the Johor State Government.
The Chief Minister, YAB Dato’ Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin welcomes MACC’s continuous aggressive initiative to fight corruption at the state administrative level in Johor.
Furthermore, he expressed full support to MACC by giving full commitment, including involvement from state government officers as well as financial support to ensure that MACC’s efforts translate into higher transparency and integrity amongst civil servants.
