TERENGGANU, 18 January – The he Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Terengganu paid a courtesy visit to the Maritime Enforcement Agency Malaysia (APMM) East Territory today.
The visit, led by Director Chief Sr. Asst. Comm. Ganason Periathamby of MACC Terengganu, was made upon the Director of APMM, YBhg. Laksmana Pertama Maritim Dato’ Haji Mamu Bin Said Alee.
The main focus of this meeting is to build a close working relationship between the two agencies in the effort to fight corruption. Also held during the visit was a discussion on corruption prevention actions to be implemented among officers at APMM East Territory.
Chief Sr. Asst. Comm. Ganason Periathamby conveyed his gratitude for welcoming their visit and expressed his hope that APMM will continue to increase their effort to fight corruption among its officers and staff.
The delegation from MACC also included Asst. Comm. Sheikh Hamadi Bin Haji Sheikh Abdul Hamid, Deputy Director of MACC Terengganu; Sr. Supt. Ahmad Rizal Samat, Head of MACC Kemaman branch, as well as two MACC officers.
