PULAU PINANG, 17 Aug - The National Union of the Teaching Profession (NUTP) expresses support towards corruption prevention efforts by signing and pledging to the Corruption-Free Pledge in a ceremony held at Berjaya Hotel here today.
The ceremony was officiated by Dato' Shamshun Baharin Mohd Jamil, Deputy Chief Commissioner (Prevention), who also witnessed the pledge reading and launched the anti-corruption poster presented by Mr. Harry Tan, Secretary-General of NUTP.
The anti-corruption poster printed by NUTP will be distributed nationwide to remind educators and students about good integrity values as well as the dangers of corruption.
Also present at the event were Mr. Shaari Osman, Director of the Daily School Division, MOE; Mr. Chan Tai chun, Deputy President of NUTP; Dep. Comm. Tuan Ruslan Tuan Mat, Director of the MACC Community Education Division, as well as Dato' Wan Ramli Wan Abdullah, Director of MACC Pulau Pinang.
600 members from among teachers across the nation also participated in the ceremony.
