KOTA SAMARAHAN, 12 May – Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) becomes the first public university in East Malaysia and the third in the country to sign the Corruption-Free Pledge with The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) today.

The signing and pledging ceremony, held at DeTAR Putra, UNIMAS Campus, was led by the Vice Chancellor of UNIMAS, Professor Dato’ Dr. Mohamad Kadim Suaidi  and followed by about 1000 members of UNIMAS, including the Board of Directors, as well as the academic and support staff.

The grand ceremony was witnessed by the Deputy Chief Commissioner (Prevention) of MACC, Dato’ Shamshun Baharin Mohd Jamil, who also delivered a keynote address after the opening speech by the Vice Chancellor.

Also gracing the ceremony were the Director of MACC Sarawak, Dato’ Badrul Shah Norman and officers from MACC Sarawak.
