KUCHING, 14 March – About 2000 civil servants throughout Sarawak signed the Corruption-Free Pledge (IBR) as part of the ‘Chief Minister’s Mandate to Sarawak Civil Service 2017’ event at Pullman Hotel, Kuching, Sarawak.
The pledge was led by YB. Tan Sri Datuk Amar Haji Morshidi bin Abdul Ghani, State Secretary of Sarawak, in the presence of YAB. Datuk Amar Abang Johari bin Tun Abang Haji Openg, Chief Minister of Sarawak and Director of MACC Sarawak, YBhg. Dato’ Badrul Shah bin Norman.
This is the second signing of the IBR by the Sarawak State Government after the first initiative by the new Cabinet of Sarawak on 25 January. This second initiative further reinforces their spirit towards achieving a corruption-free administration on all levels of civil service.
Furthermore, this ceremony encourages all other ministries, agencies and government-linked companies (GLC) under the Sarawak Government to follow suit and sign the pledge.
YAB. Datuk Amar Abang Johari launched the ceremony, which was attended by Sarawak Cabinet ministers as well as heads of departments from the federal and state level.
