MALACCA, 8 March - The Malacca State Government took the initiative of signing the Corruption-Free Pledge (IBR) with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) today to ensure an administration free from any element of corruption and abuse of power.
The ceremony was led by Chief Minister of Malacca, Datuk Seri Utama Ir. Idris Haron, with the State Secretary, 20 Excos and Deputy Excos as well as three ex-officios following suit.
The event held at the Tun Mutahir room, Seri Negeri Complex was witnessed by the Chief Commissioner of MACC, Datuk Dzulkifli Ahmad.
This initiative reflects the State Government’s dedication and determination to implement a cleaner and more transparent administration.
MACC believes that this commitment would garner respect for the Malacca State Government as a government would not be regarded highly and would even fail to provide the best service to the rakyat if they were plagued with issues of corruption and abuse of power.
The Malacca State Government is the fourth state government to sign the IBR after Sarawak, Kedah and Negeri Sembilan.
