ROMPIN, 21 February - District leaders of Rompin, headed by YBhg. Mohd Zulkifli bin Hashim, Chairman of Rompin District Council, signed the Corruption-Free Pledge in the presence of YH. Dato’ Tan Kang Sai, Director of MACC Pahang this morning.
The District and Land Office of Rompin is the pioneer among its peers in Pahang to take the corruption prevention initiative by signing and taking this pledge.
Through this pledge, the leadership and management of Rompin district reflects their dedication to fight all forms of corruption together with MACC. The initiative on their part can act as a catalyst for other district offices to follow in their footsteps towards becoming a more transparent administration that is free from corruption.
The event began with an opening speech by Mr. Zulkifli, followed by a briefing entitled “Corruption Prevention: A Collective Responsibility” by YH. Dato’ Tan Kang Sai.
Also in attendance were Y.B Kapt (B) Dato’ Mohd Johari Bin Haji Hussain, state assemblyman for Tioman area cum Chairman of Pahang State Youth and Sports Committee and YB Dato Wan Kadri Bin Wan Mahusain, state assemblyman for Bukit Ibam. The event was also joined by leaders of Rompin district, from Heads of Departments, Members of Rompin District Council and local community committees.
